PARK JiHye

I have been concentrating on works of tracing identity of potential desire in personal relationships since the initial stage of my artwork. Therefore, I have expressed desire, violence, suppression, and delicate shades of psychology hidden deep inside which lie behind appearances of various events in fairy tales, stories, and reality into movements slower than reality and repetitive reproduction in minute detail.     

These images have room for various interpretations of viewers as they left psychological state of people such as infatuation, pain, and uneasiness as an endless unsettled structure through vague repetition of actions of characters in the video. The intention of creating such structure was to show unseen forces that move social system and stories of reciprocality of various relationships through direction of maximizing synesthesia of vision, hearing, and touch by revealing the limitation of various conflicts and contradictions. Thus, it is composed with complex elements of sound, objet, moving image, and flat surface work to bring dramatic effects into relief, and created them to maximize the immersion level of viewers through a combination of real objet which becomes a clue of the artwork, overlapped and repeated image collage, and sound that stimulates the basis of delicate mentality.
 
As explained, flat surface and three-dimensional objet organically connects visual and auditory things, induces tactile things from visual objects, and they become maximized again into auditory and visual objects. This is created into one art work at the same time while each individual artwork exists. My intention is to research deeply into a relationship between society and people by projecting anxiety and fear hidden deep inside that fancy, speedy, and glittering outer cover of modern people.
