My focus had been on people desperately seeking their meaning of existence amidst extreme conditions. But now I was on another experimental path.(…)
I also devoted myself to figuring out the secret of the simplicity of the prototypical beauty of traditional Korean artistic elements in folk painting, ceramic art, roof tiles, rice-cake patterns, and wardrobe closet design.
