Korea Tomorrow 2016

For the last few years, my installations have reinvented spaces in exhibition sites. Thus my works portray myself as both an artist and designer of space. I realized that a lot of effort goes into an exhibition besides the artist’s work, so my work begins with experiencing both in and out of a particular situation.

I try to capture the ironic beauty, inefficiency or chance in sites that are critical and chaotic. I continue to document points where art and everyday labor merge. These photographs are so-called ‘study of crossing area’.

I ask questions about what is art based on a variety of experience in the field of labor that takes place between life and art. Because of plentiful experience of Art exhibition making, and producing Art, I came to ask what art is, what makes it, and what the role of exhibition is.
