Korea Tomorrow 2016

Beginning 1
It was only 5 years ago, sitting in my car, Porsche 911, I was stopped at a red light.
I did not like to wait at that red light and almost simultaneously, something came to me.
What if I shoot most of these buildings while I am sitting in my car?
In the beginning, I took 6 seconds, but these days in 2015, it became 2 seconds.
Taken in black and white, having just a little over 500 pictures, I saw my city becoming more sinister than before.

Beginning 2
With all those dark and sister buildings, I started coloring them on the computer.
Then I directly put colored pencils on my 11×14 black and white prints then to completion digitally via photoshop.
The city became red, purple, yellow, and so the sky, surreally beautiful.

Beginning 3
Most of the pictures were taken in my car and day after 2 to 3 years, I was asking myself,
‘what if I woke up under a pink sky?’
So I started walking into strange cities and skies; Tokyo, Los Angeles, New York, London, Paris, Beijing, Shanghai, Las Vegas, Singapore, Hong Kong…, everywhere.
A few times before I got on the road for my journey, looking for the end of the world.
The long journey that I’ve been on for a long time now, but I still have yet to find what else.
The distance is in my heart; 1 centimeter long. What else? Truth isn’t found by talking.
There is a way of searching for some truth, one I have in my heart.
The Other, Walking at the end of the world.
I am not done yet.
I will be there no matter how hard it will be in the end.
